Febraury’s Client of the Month - Kathryn Cooper

Taking back control!

Meet February’s client of the month Kathryn Cooper. Kathryn is a busy mum of one, who runs an inspired jewellery company.  She has suffered with osteoarthritis for the last 5 years as well as having multiple back problems. In November 2015 she finally decided enough was enough and approached us to help her lose some body fat and improve her mobility because walking was becoming excruciatingly painful.

Kathryn says;

I was terrified of using a personal trainer, expecting grueling and intensive boot camp style workouts which would cause me more pain so I avoided exercise. But Pip’s approach was completely the opposite of what I expected. She combines each session with a lesson in nutrition followed by the exercise, and tailored it to suit my needs. The targeted exercises have helped ease the pain of the arthritis and I feel so much better for it. Eliminating the inflammation causing foods from my diet has increased my energy levels as well as decreasing my weight.

Pip is extremely knowledgeable about health, nutrition and exercise and she has completely changed my mindset about exercise and diet, I actually look forward to our sessions whereas in the past I dreaded exercise because of the pain it would cause.

As osteoarthritis is an inflammatory condition, our first step with Kathryn was to remove anything adding to the inflammation whilst adding calming foods and lifestyle changes to help accelerate her results. Since starting the programme Kathryn has not only increased her mobility - now finding it much easier to complete everyday tasks without anywhere near as much pain but she’s also lost an incredible 13cm off her waist and a combined 29cm off three different measurement sites!
