THE STORY SO FAR:
Penny has always been interested in health and fitness but would never have imagined that at the age of 52 she would be working as a Wellbeing Coach. Penny has 2 grown up children; Ben and Pip (not D1 Pip). She’s worked in nursing, midwifery and health visiting all her life. While her children were growing up she always tried to stay fit and healthy but time constraints, working long hours and being a mum often put a stop to this. Penny’s turning point was when the big 5-0 started to loom.
Penny says: This was a decade I was not looking forward to, my mum and dad both died at ages 56 and 55. I made a promise to myself that I would be the fittest and healthiest I could be as I entered this decade so started by finding a personal trainer. Before long I was doing things I never imagined I could do….. running half marathons, tough mudders and lifting pretty heavy weights! Above everything though, I felt amazing both physically and emotionally. I knew I needed to share this feeling with others so decided to undertake the course to become a personal trainer. I could say the rest is history, when I came across Day One Wellness I realised they were everything I believed in and was setting out to do. I love being a part of this amazing team, what better feeling could there be than helping others believe in themselves and achieve more than even they knew was possible!
